Neighbors! I was going to write a regular newsletter - but this came up and
sounded like such a great thing for all of Fleetwood to get involved with!
So call up and get yourself Purple-Fied!!  I'll write a regular newsletter
later this week, so stay tuned for some exciting things going on!

"Paint The City Purple" is Friday, May 1, 2009.  This is a nationwide effort
to raise awareness about cancer and to garner support and enthusiasm for
Relay For Life. The Mount Vernon community is asked to help transform
schools, businesses, homes and local government facilities purple. 
 
What are your plans  for "Paint the City Purple"?  Need some ideas?  You can
wear purple clothing, put purple ribbons or balloons on your mailbox or tie
one around your tree, plant purple flowers, have a "purple passion" or
"purplicious" celebration and/or send purple emails.  A follow-up memo
detailing the "Paint The City Purple" initiatives and activities for Mount
Vernon will be forwarded April 25. Please forward your plans for inclusion
in the update.

Relay For Life Team Captain Kenye Reid  of " What's Your Event?" created a
"Paint The City Purple" fundraising idea which you may be interested in
supporting.   Her team is selling Purple Balloon Bouquets.   Interested in
ordering balloons to decorate your home, neighborhood or business?  Please
